12/19/2012 – Midwest City, OK — A Midwest City senior citizen pleaded guilty today to felony charges of having sex with a minor and avoids doing any jail time.
JohnTV reported on 79-year-old Robert S. Walker back in June.
Walker admitted to local news station KFOR and to detectives that back in September of 2010 he paid and then had sex with the victim whom was only 14-years old.
Walker claims he gave the young girl $60 to buy her mother a birthday gift and afterwards they had sex on two occasions – once at his Midwest City home and once at a local motel.
Walker also admitted to having sex with the victim’s 19-year-old friend.
Police interviewed the victim (see probable cause affidavit below) and she claimed Walker had sex with her twice at his home while she was only 14-years-old and once at a Motel 6 in Midwest City when she had turned 15.
Walker initially defended his deviant actions by claiming he thought the victim was a prostitute of legal age (which simply means the pervert thought she was at least 16-years-old). Walker also alleged the only reason the victim’s mother reported the sexual crime was in retaliation for Walker going to police when he caught the victim breaking into his home.
In June of this year Walker was charged with two felony acts of lewdness with a child under sixteen.
Just this morning Walker took a plea agreement deal that allowed him to avoid prison. Instead, Walker received a felony conviction, a 10-year supervised suspended sentence, fines and ordered to follow special conditions of sex offenders.
Walker should consider himself very lucky.
No reason has been given as to why Walker was allowed to avoid any jail time and not charged with statutory rape, child prostitution, sex trafficking, or forcible sodomy.
Back in June JohnTV predicted this case would end in a plea agreement requiring Walker to register as a sex offender to avoid jail.
